His topic of discussion was America's future. Prefacing his discussion, Santorum said, "I am very optimistic about America's future.Core changes to be implemented in fallA meeting of the Faculty Forum was held on Monday, April 14, to make a straw vote on proposed changes in the core curriculum. According to Dr. Kathy Lee of the political science department, as of Fall 2009 a new section will be added to the curriculum called the Common Core, which will include classes to ensure Eastern students are biblically and historically literate, formed in Christian thought, skilled in the written word and fit for life.
Expansion of the Breezeway will include the addition of more than 50 seats and will be completed for the fall semester. Breezeway expansion plans in place for summer constructionEastern has recently become a host facility for English as a Second Language International. The program was started by the president of a Christian college to prepare students from non-English speaking countries to succeed in higher education. It is promoted throughout Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.New Web site to be revealed after graduationEastern will launch a new Web site shortly after commencement in May. The site will feature more appealing photographs and a new design that is more organized and easier to navigate. Due to strategic marketing purposes, the web team would not release a shot of the new site.
