Many people flocked to the McInnis lobby to view the presentations by senior Communication Studies majors.

No one expected a large turnout at the 2nd Annual Communication Studies Symposium–especially the presenters.

The McInnis lobby was filled soon after 7 p.m. on April 20, and people flocked to the various displays set up around the lobby. Each display had its own flair and appeal, and no one was left without an observer looking at their work.

Approximately twenty presentations were available for review, featuring a wide range of subjects. While some focused on topic like the uses of Facebook or the trend of mobile texting versus calling, others tackled issues such as bicultural relationships and studying abroad.

There were even projects on cosplaying at anime conventions, video game addiction, slasher-film stereotypes and party photography Web sites.

Friends, family members and professors of the graduating seniors came to see their presentations, many of them asking questions or taking pictures with the presenter.

In all, the broad topics and friendly atmosphere added to a pleasant time for both the seniors and their fans.
